Scrap metal is collected in line with the Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers No 960 of the Republic of Latvia "Noteikumi par kārtību, kādā iepērk un realizē melno un krāsaino metālu atgriezumus un lūžņus un izsniedz licences metālu atgriezumu un lūžņu iepirkšanai Latvijā, kā arī par valsts nodevas likmi par licenci metālu atgriezumu un lūžņu iepirkšanai un valsts nodevas maksāšanas kārtību" (Procedure of collecting and management of black and coloured scrap metal cuttings and waste).
Scrap metal is collected from natural and legal persons at the following warehouses:
Upon arriving with a purpose to deliver scrap metal, natural persons must show personal identification document – a passport or driver`s licence. If the total price of scrap metal delivered exceeds LVL 1000, the passport is mandatory. The minimum scrap metal amount to be delivered must be worth LVL 10. Scrap metal is paid according to the SANEKSS Ltd. price-list. Prices may be modified depending on the volume. Physical persons as of 1 January 2012 are subject to pay personal income tax on income from the sale of metal scrap, which shall be transferred to the national budget in the amount of 10 %. The delivery of scrap metal is confirmed in writing in line with the law. The payment for scrap metal delivered is transferred to the customer`s bank account or paid as a cash cheque.
Cash cheques are paid out at the Mortgage and Land bank of Latvia: www.hipo.lv, a personal identification document is needed.
Scrap metal purchasing from legal personas is carried out on the basis of an invoice. Upon starting our mutual cooperation, the legal person must submit to SANEKSS Ltd. the company registration documents, personal data about the employee or authorised person, in order to prepare a contract. The contract of cooperation is concluded for a certain period of time, setting out the price of scrap metal, time of its delivery, payment procedure and other terms and conditions. Paying of VAT into the national budget is the responsibility of the recipient of the metal scrap in accordance with Article 135 of the VAT Law.
